No último dia 16 desse mês (16/12/2017) o Jornal O Globo publicou uma entrevista com Sri Prem Baba intitulada “Prem Baba, o guru pop”.
On the 16th of this month (12/16/2017) the Brazilian newspaper O Globo published an interview with Sri Prem Baba, titled “Prem Baba, the pop guru”.
Em um bate papo descontraído Sri Prem Baba, que recentemente participou de programas da rede Globo como Conversa com Bial, Encontro com Fátima Bernardes e recebeu a visita em São Paulo do astro americano Will Smith, diz que gosta de ir a restaurantes, assistir séries de televisão e que sim, também tem hobbies e se considera um homem comum: “a única diferença é que eu estou desperto, estou acordado”.
In a relaxed chat, Sri Prem Baba, who recently participated in Globo Network talkshows, such as ‘Conversa com Bial’, ‘Encontro com Fátima Bernardes’, and who was also visited by the American celebrity Will Smith in São Paulo, shares that he likes to go to restaurants, watch television series and that yes, he also has hobbies and considers himself an ordinary man: “the only difference is that I am awake, I woke up”.
Toda essa visibilidade e o fato de ser chamado de “guru pop”, não preocupam Sri Prem Baba que alerta: “ou acontece um suicídio global, ou acontece o maior despertar espiritual que a humanidade conheceu. Eu prefiro acreditar que nós vamos despertar espiritualmente. Para isso, autoconhecimento e a meditação precisam se popularizar. E se o caminho para isso significa o Prem Baba se popularizar, ok, no problem”.
All this visibility and being called a “pop guru” does not worry Sri Prem Baba, who warns: “either there will be a global suicide, or we will have the greatest spiritual awakening that humanity has ever known. I’d rather believe that we’re going to awaken spiritually. For this to happen, self-knowledge and meditation need to become popular. And if the road in that direction means that Prem Baba gets popularized, okay, no problem”.
Por mais esotérico que possa para parecer para alguns, o que Sri Prem Baba diz é absolutamente prático, afinal, fala sobre propósito; sobre a revolução da consciência pela qual o mundo está passando; a necessidade de popularizar a meditação e auto-observação, e como todos querem a mesa coisa – sentir alegria no coração.
As esoteric as it may seem to some, what Sri Prem Baba says is absolutely practical; after all, he speaks about purpose, about the revolution of consciousness that the world is going through, the need to popularize meditation and self-observation, and how everyone ultimately desires the same thing – to feel joy in their hearts.
